Neuropathy Clinics Of America
Ron bingham // Owner
Neuropathy Clinics Of America is based in Jackson, Tennessee (MKL) , The company is ownered by physician Ron Bingham and operates nine clinics in Tennessee and Mississippi with plans to expand to 12 other locations in the Southeast over the next 48 months.
More than 20 million people suffer from nerve disease (Neuropathy) yet most patients feel like they have nowhere to turn for help. Neuropathy Clinics of America has developed a unique and effective approach for people who suffer from painful and burning feet. Most of these people have diabetes but there are many other causes as well. It has given Neuropathy Clinics great satisfaction to take care of these people who often say nice things like "thanks for giving me my feet back" or "I haven't felt this good for years". Their narrow focus and mastery of the subject has proved to be a successful business model and a lot of fun, too!
The company plane allows Neuropathy Clinics to evaluate new locations, recruit new physicians and service remote locations efficiently. Ron stated that, "Without our Citation we could not have grown as we have. We grew 18% last year despite the current economic pressures and we attribute some of that growth to the flexibility and efficiency offered by the CJ. We can put a team of professionals in two locations in a single day and still have everyone home for softball practice every night with the jet. On the fun side of the equation the plane allows me to work all day Friday in rural Tennessee and be in Steamboat Springs Colorado (HDN) by 8 p.m. We can be on the slopes for two whole days and be back home Sunday night. The plane allows me to leave when I am done with work and prevents me from having to take off for a whole day in each direction to travel commercially. Two days on the slopes would cost me two additional work days for travel without the Citation. Quite simply the plane allows me to 'work harder and play harder!' Who doesn't mind working a couple more hours if you know that you are about to see the sunset in Key West with your friends in a couple hours?"
Ron attended LSU school of Medicine after college in New Jersey and completed a 4-year residency in Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Texas in Dallas. He has four children and a wife who all enjoy traveling to the Rocky Mountains for snowboarding, as well as to the beach several times a year. He has 5000 hrs and this is his third Citation. He is type rated in the CE-500 series and holds a CE-525S ticket. He usually pilots his plane by himself with the company of his wife Suzanne in the right-hand seat.
Recent trips include San Francisco, The Grand Canyon, Park City Utah, Steamboat Springs Colorado, Miami and Destin Florida.
West Star has done all the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Ron's current and former CJ for the past several years. Ron was happy to share his experiences at West Star, "I attribute my 100% dispatch rate to their reliable work and the amazing reliability of the Citation. I have owned numerous turbo props and reciprocating twins and found the CJ to be cheaper, safer, more reliable and comfortable. This reliability and economy is in part secondary to the great personal care of the experienced professionals at West Star. They always answer with a smile and "yes we can" attitude. They get the plane in and out on schedule and meet me on the ramp when I arrive. One of the senior people watches me depart to assure my successful departure. They feel like family and show me the respect you might expect if I was a visiting dignitary. Most recently had my engines sent off for overhaul, rental engines installed, and my new engines reinstalled all in less than two weeks and the plane was only in the shop for eight days total. They worked around my three snowboarding trips to the Rockies in the same time frame. The plane was squawk-free, clean and without a single problem! By the way, they managed to perform a time-consuming SB(160 labor hours) and a Doc 8 and several other issues during this time. I will continue to have all my work done at West Star. I feel like they watch my back on pricing issues and try to find affordable alternatives without me requesting that they do so. They have my business because they clearly value me as a customer and it shows, but also because they have the ability and experience to handle anything. They will be performing an avionics upgrade to the plane this spring. I would be happy to discuss my experience with anyone who is interested at any time. I know that the other jet owners who share my Jackson, Tennessee hangar would feel the same way."
